Genna Durante was born and raised in Connecticut. She began dancing professionally at the age of 15 at the Educational Center for the Arts (ECA) in New Haven, CT. Although her style of dance choice is Hip-Hop, She is also technically trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, West African, and Horton Techniques. ECA gave her the opportunity to commute back and forth to New York City to participate in Alvin Alley, Cunningham, and Paul Taylor master classes. She also featured in many New York hip-hop showcases along side industry performers.
She then moved to New York to continue her career as a dance. Within her four years at Mahattanville College, she has accomplished hula dancing, stage managing, lighting and set design, and choreography and directing her own work. She was also her colleges Hip-Hop dance team Director and Choreographer. She has completed college with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts.
Since moving to Las Vegas, June of ’16, she has become part of the Las Vegas Little Theatre family as a stage manager. She is currently a member of a professional traveling hip-hop crew, Culture Shock Las Vegas. She is honored to be part of the VZ Dance Family and is currently learning Ballroom from the best!
